Cosmetic Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is most frequently the treatment of choice for spider veins. It is a minimally invasive treatment that improves the appearance of unsightly veins.
Sclerotherapy involves injecting a sclerosant (a medicine which causes vessels to shrink) into the spider vein. This solution causes the vein to close and eventually disappear. These veins are not needed for proper circulation and the body absorbs them. Healthier veins take over and handle blood flow.
Cosmetic vein procedures are generally not covered by insurance. However, our experienced staff will call your insurance company to verify benefits and coverage to determine your specific insurance guidelines.
