Born, raised and schooled in New Jersey, ‘Dr. Laudi’ was a collegiate wrestler at Rutgers and worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer in high school, college and professional settings prior to medical school.  At Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.  During his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Colorado, he worked closely with Denver Public Schools as a Team Physician and developed an interactive program for academic, athletic and personal success for student athletes.   He completed a Knee, Shoulder and Sports Medicine Fellowship with additional specialized training at the Steadman-Hawkins Denver Clinic.  He was also an Assistant Team Physician for the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies.  His research topics have included ACL injury recovery, rotator cuff tears and shoulder arthritis.

Dr. Laudicina came to Albuquerque, NM in 2008 and has worked in both the Presbyterian and Lovelace systems.  A member and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Hawkins Society, he worked as a Sports Medicine Spokesperson in varied media.  With more than 39,000 members, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) is the world’s largest medical association of musculoskeletal specialists. The AAOS provides education programs for orthopaedic surgeons and allied health professionals, champions and advances the highest quality musculoskeletal care for patients, and is the authoritative source of information on bone and joint conditions, treatments and related issues.

Dr. Laudicina has served as Team Physician in both the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho Public School Systems, and for local semi-professional clubs.  He is a Team Physician for XMED and for Red Bull extreme sporting events.  An eternal student of the game, he enjoys learning new sports and professional techniques.  His multi-sport and cross training activities have included mountain biking, snowboarding, kitesurfing, yoga, trail running, strength training and competitive dog agility.  Active lifestyles inspire his professional practice.  He thrives on assisting all ages recover from injury and disability, return to active lifestyles, and achieve their personal potential.
